Daniel Bennett
11th & 12th Grade Homeroom - Latin

B.A. in history from Wofford College | M.A. in history from the College of Charleston and the Citadel | Ph.D. in Church History (medieval focus) from the Catholic University of America

Dr. Bennett is a native of Spartanburg, SC, born and raised just up the street from Greenville. His pursuit of history and especially of medieval studies led him to convert to the Catholic faith in 2015. Dr. Bennett acquired considerable experience in Latin and medieval philosophy during his graduate studies, and also has a minor concentration in the Church Fathers from his doctoral program. He has experience teaching history, theology, Scripture, English, and academic writing from courses he taught in grad school and as an adjunct professor at Wofford in the fall of 2021.

Dr. Bennett began his high school teaching as a part-time Latin teacher in the fall of 2021 at OLR, and quickly moved into a more expanded role, teaching more Latin and Scripture the following spring. He is very excited about Our Lady of the Rosary’s classical approach to Catholic education and its commitment to fostering traditional Catholic culture among its students, families, and faculty.
