MA in Educational Leadership from Liberty University | BA in Inclusive Childhood Ed. from Houghton College
Mr. Slocum comes to OLR from the Buffalo, NY area where he most recently served as a middle school math teacher and a high school theatre director at the local public school.
Upon graduating from Houghton College, Mr. Slocum and his wife, Emma, moved to Atlanta, Georgia where he taught for a few years as a sixth grade teacher at Mount Paran Christian School. They moved back to the western New York region after their first son was born, and have lived there for the past nine years. He and his wife have enjoyed home schooling their five children using the classical model, and are thrilled to be joining the OLR community. He believes educating students in a catholic culture that is rich in truth, beauty, and goodness will lead to the development of the whole student, and thus effect a positive change in the culture at large.
